Čazma, Ulica Franje Vidovića
On the outskirts of Čazma, Čazmatrans has another big parking lot which is mostly used for storing and scrapping their many decommissioned buses.
While some parts of the buses are repurposed, the majority of the vehicles seem to be ripped apart and destroyed in the most chaotic and unsystematic way imaginable.
We visited the place full of half-dismantled buses in the last minutes of sunlight and with a storm approaching, which gave it a rather fitting atmosphere.
In 2021, a massive fire destroyed nearly all buses that were parked there at the time, caused by flying sparks from a cutting torch.

Čazma, Ulica Milana Novačića
Earlier that day we saw a Čazmatrans bus with a tank on it which was surprising enough, but what we really didn't expect to see was a tank with a Čazmatrans logo on it.
That can indeed be seen in the village of Čazma though, and its not some kind of morbid joke either: This armored combat vehicle was built in 1991 by the workers of Čazmatrans.
It was delivered to the 2nd battalion of the 105th infantry brigade and did see use on the battlefields of the Croatian war, both in attack and rescue operations.

Čazma, Čazmatrans Depot
Čazmatrans is one of the biggest and most well-known bus companies in Croatia, so it might surprise you that Čazma is actually a tiny village with less than 7.000 inhabitants.
This is the entrance to their main depot, which seems rather small considering their fleet size of way over 500 buses. However, most of them are of course stationed in regional depots across Croatia.
